Why did you decide to work in the tech industry?

It was actually because of my dad, who used to work as an IT project manager. I had several opportunities to join him at work, and he always explained his work to me. I got fascinated by complex projects and amazed at what you could do with technology.

How can you describe your current role? What’s your responsibility area?

I work as Business Application Manager within the automotive industry. I’m responsible for their aftermarket authoring systems as well as the system used in workshops to diagnose, upgrade and serve cars. The job is versatile and includes everything from administrating users, handling and raising risks and issues to our decision board, working with sprints and roadmaps, communicating with aftersales, setting processes, and solving any kind of problems daily.

What career plans do you have for the future, and how do you see your further professional development?

I love to work in roles where I have a lot of freedom to make decisions and make a positive impact. I’d love to do improvement work on a higher level, perhaps some kind of business process development.

What can you advise for women just entering the tech?

Be curious and ask lots of questions! Also, dare to challenge yourself and get out of your comfort zone. It might be scary and challenging at the moment, but looking back, you’ll see that’s when you’ve grown the most.
