Sigma at the seminar on Smart Work & Life for the Next Generation

The seminar was considered as an interactive conference where participants discuss topics such as how to shape competitive next generations, how to boost innovation and creativity through a gender-equal working environment and a good balance between work and life.

The event took place on May 13th at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. In his welcoming words, His Excellency Niclas Trouvé, Ambassador of Sweden to Budapest, emphasized:

“Sweden is proud of its many successful multinational companies. They provide the basis for our economic and social prosperity. They keep us at the edge of technology and in the forefront of global competitiveness. To continue to excel, our companies depend on the continuous recruitment of new, competent employees. I am proud that Swedish companies are characterized by a modern and democratic management style, a good working environment, tolerant attitudes, and equality between men and women. A Swedish workplace provides equal opportunities for everyone and allows everyone to strike a good balance in life between work and family. That is what today’s seminar is about.”

The seminar welcomed as keynote speakers Ms. Katalin Novák, Minister of State for Family and Social Affairs of Hungary, and Mr. Stefan Hult, Director General for Planning, Ministry of Employment of Sweden. The agenda included several discussion panels dedicated to intensifying innovation through employee policies. The key ingredients for a future work-life balance were also highlighted.

As György Nagy, Country Manager at Sigma Technology Hungary, noted:

“At Sigma Technology, we believe that human capital is one of the key factors that drives us forward, helping to remain competitive on the market. In today`s changing environment, it is essential that we explore new ways of attracting talents, keeping them motivated and providing them with the sustainable working conditions. We were glad to attend the seminar as it raises hot topics of managing people in a modern, dynamic and global economy. Sigma Technology has offices in many countries, we know all the ins and outs of working with distributed teams, and it was our pleasure to share the experience.”

The seminar was launched with a press conference and also involved networking with students, who were also invited to the event.
