Sigma believes in the future and especially in the current generation of students, who will help us to create a better tomorrow. This is why Sigma strengthens cooperation with KTH and many other universities and colleges around the world. The goal is to increase integration between student life and working life and to build relations with students, who are looking for an employer like Sigma.
Get a jump start on your career
Sigma participates in career expos, arranges events such as Hackers’ Night, collaborates with students in thesis projects and is committed to increasing equal opportunities in the IT industry. New activity for this year is Sigma’s sponsorship of a unique event for the annual traditional, good-natured hazing at KTH – the Sigma Amazing Race.
Eva Björkegren from Sigma Technology Development Stockholm is the lead project manager for the event and is involved in several other collaborative activities with the universities in the capital of Sweden.
“Creating relationships at early university years develops and inspires both the students and us at Sigma,” says Eva. “Being an attractive employer today and in the future, it is essential for us to remain among world leaders in technological development. We hope this new event will be fun for everyone, and we regard this initiative as a chance to establish first contacts. It will be great to see how many of these smart students will be among my colleagues in a few years.”
About the Sigma Amazing Race
On September 10, about 400 students will participate in a contest, where both junior and senior students unite in carrying out assignments in the downtown of Stockholm. The event starts at Lilljansskogen and finishes at Sigma’s office at Valhallavägen, with prize presentations and the opportunity to get to know your fellow students.
