Sigma Enterprise Applications has reached an agreement on the terms for the sale of its Lawson operations (S3) in the Nordic region. Sigma has been Nordic affiliate for Lawson, but after Lawson’s acquisition of Intentia this is a natural transaction for both parties.
Sigma has previously been responsible for sales, revisions, development and support in the Nordic market. Customers included among others Apoteket, NCC, Alecta, AFA, Saab, Tollpost. The Sigma Lawson operations comprise 14 employees and projected sales in 2006 amount to SEK 24 M. The reason for the sale is to streamline operations to services. The operations have involved substantial work with maintenance and product development and, accordingly, are not compatible with Sigma’s continued strategy.
As a result of the transaction, Lawson strengthens its position in sales and delivery of S3 in the Nordic region.
”After the sale, Sigma will now focus even more intensely on developing our already successful operations within SAP. Today, we are a highly appreciated partner to our international customers,” says Mikael Gavelin, President of Sigma Enterprise Applications. ”I foresee that we will grow by about 40 consultants in the near future, Customers appreciate our broad operating competence combined with leading-edge know-how we possess within SAP,” continues Mikael Gavelin.
The sale will be carried out at year-end 2006 and generates about SEK 10 M in liquidity and a capital gain of approximately SEK 2 M.
