Why did you decide to work in tech?
I have always been interested in how things work. For example, I started my working carrier at one of the larger banks. I realized I really like to understand connections and structures, the glue of how bits and pieces are tied together, both in the organization and in daily work and the supporting systems. I was curious about computer science, so I applied to the university.
How can you describe your current role? What’s your responsibility area?
I’m currently working as a business analyst, and you can say it is a bit like being the spider in the web… I get to meet both the business people with different needs and requirements and discuss possible solutions with the delivering teams. My responsibility is to make sure the solutions we deliver added value to the customer.
What career plans do you have for the future, and how do you see your further professional development?
I would like to learn more about business intelligence, how to help customers and draw conclusions from all the information our systems and connected things collect, and how to tell stories with the help of the data. Using the data correctly can be very powerful.
What can you advise for women just entering the tech?
Be curious, and don’t be afraid to ask questions or hesitate to ask for help. There are no stupid questions! And all the best solutions come out from teamwork, so make use of your colleagues.
