Why did you decide to work in the tech industry?

I have a university degree from the Faculty of Humanities, and I’ve always wanted to do something creative. I wished for a job where I could use foreign languages and create something tangible. So I ended up being a technical writer.

How can you describe your current role? What’s your responsibility area?

As a technical writer or information engineer, I create, edit and update user documentation. Currently, I work on online manuals, printed guides, and packaging materials of sports watches. Still, in the past few years, I had the opportunity to test myself in the fields of robotics and telecommunications, too. My current project is exciting, as I can test some devices in real life and write about their features and functions.

What career plans do you have for the future and how do you see your further professional development?

I am eager to learn and train myself and would be happy with a long-lasting career as a technical writer, gaining some illustration skills closely related to document writing.

What can you advise for women just entering the tech?

I think tech-related jobs are just as much for women as for men. So, ladies, keep being enthusiastic and help break the old stereotypes down
