Sovereign AI Infrastructure
When cloud is not an option
Keep sensitive compute closer to your organisation without giving up the flexibility of AI
Cloud services have made AI more accessible, but not every workload belongs in a public cloud environment.
Your organisation may handle sensitive or business-critical information. You may need faster processing close to your operations. Internal policies, security requirements, or regulatory considerations may also limit where data can be stored and processed.
With sovereign AI infrastructure, AI models and applications can run in a local or controlled environment. The solution can complement your existing cloud services, allowing you to place each workload in the environment that best supports your business, technical, and information-security requirements.
AI infrastructure built around your needs
Process selected data in a local, dedicated, or isolated environment. Address requirements concerning data location, access, traceability, and operational control.
Run AI applications closer to devices, systems, and users. Local processing enables rapid responses and dependable performance in operational environments.
Begin with a focused use case or a compact local installation. Expand the architecture with additional capacity, services, models, and integrations as your needs develop.
A sovereign AI environment does not need to replace Azure, AWS, or other cloud services.
Local and cloud-based systems can work together, with workloads placed according to their sensitivity, performance needs, and operational requirements.
Sigma Technology supports your business and technical journey from identifying the right use case to integration, implementation, development, and continued improvement.
Our collaborator provides the underlying AI platform, compute infrastructure, models, orchestration, and related technology capabilities.

From infrastructure to business value
A seven-layer platform that extends from physical infrastructure to services, consulting, training, and research.
Physical infrastructure
Infrastructure designed for the selected delivery environment, from compact local equipment to server and data-center capacity.
Edge nodes and GPU capacity
Dedicated computing resources for AI inference, development, testing, and operational workloads.
Platform, orchestration, and security
Technology for managing infrastructure, applications, workloads, access, and deployment across one or more environments.
Models and MLOps
Suitable AI models combined with tools and processes for configuration, deployment, monitoring, and continued development.
AI services and APIs
Agents, applications, integrations, and interfaces that connect AI capabilities with existing systems and information sources.
Consulting and development
Sigma Technology consultants help identify opportunities, develop solutions, integrate systems, and support organisational change.
Training and enablement
Support that helps your teams understand, adopt, and develop AI responsibly within their own operational context.

Industries
Start with the problem, not the technology
Explore
We identify relevant business challenges, processes, and potential AI use cases together.
Define
We select a focused use case and clarify the required data, integrations, infrastructure, security considerations, and expected outcome.
Configure and develop
The AI environment, models, agents, and integrations are configured and adapted to your organization.
Deploy
The solution is introduced in the selected local, dedicated, hybrid, or isolated environment.
Evaluate and scale
We assess the results, refine the solution, and identify opportunities for further development or a larger deployment.
Take the first step with a Sovereign AI Pilot
A focused pilot or MVP can help you evaluate sovereign AI in your own environment and with your own information. The Sovereign AI MVP combines local AI infrastructure with a selected agent or workflow, configuration, integration, and implementation support. The objective is to create a working solution for a concrete task, rather than a stand-alone demonstration.
Included elements:
- Initial use-case and process workshop.
- Development of a compact local AI environment.
- AI platform and orchestration.
- Selection and configuration of a suitable AI model.
- Configuration against approved customer data and systems.
- Development of a defined agent or workflow.
- Deployment in the selected environment.
- Operational follow-up and recommendations for scaling.

F.A.Q.
Does Sovereign AI infrastructure replace Azure or AWS?
No, sovereign AI is a complement to existing cloud services. Workloads or data that cannot be placed in the cloud can remain local, while other approved services can continue to run in Azure, AWS, or another cloud environment.
Can the solution run without an internet connection?
Yes, models and AI agents can run without an internet connection.
Where is the solution installed?
The solution can be placed in your own environment, in server capacity at a data centre, or in a configured container. For development, a pilot, or production testing, a compact local device is available.
Can the solution be scaled?
Yes, delivery can range from a compact device to data-centre infrastructure and a complete container. A successful pilot can be expanded to a larger installation with more powerful hardware.
Can several organisations share an installation?
Yes, several customers can share a setup if an appropriate arrangement is created.
Can Sovereign AI support organisations with sites in more than one country?
Yes, corresponding hardware can be installed at sites in different countries. Each country’s regulatory requirements are handled separately, and the intended delivery model uses a common blueprint that is configured for the local site.
Do I need internal AI expertise to get started with Sovereign AI?
No, Sigma Technology handles implementation, AI competency is not required from day one.
Is the service GPU capacity sold by the minute?
No, Sovereign AI uses dedicated hardware and dedicated compute capacity for the specific customer, or a defined shared setup for several customers.
