Why did you decide to work in the tech industry?

My decision to pursue a career in the tech industry is driven by my strong passion for transformation and the integral role technology plays in shaping change. I’ve always been drawn to how technological advancements enable businesses to evolve and working with different people led me here because it’s at the heart of innovation. I love being part of something that not only solves problems but also makes processes more efficient and impactful.

How can you describe your current role? What’s your responsibility area?

As a Business Transformation Consultant at Sigma Technology ERP Advisory, I specialize in project coordination, change management, and ensuring smooth ERP implementations. I act as a bridge between stakeholders, including business teams, customers, project teams and offshore teams. My responsibilities include streamlining communication, managing key user journeys, and ensuring that project goals are aligned with organizational needs.

What career plans do you have for the future, and how do you see your further professional development?

I would like to continue growing as a leader in project management and change management, ideally within ERP-related projects. My goal is to work more directly with end clients, driving meaningful digital transformations while mentoring others in the field. Additionally, I aspire to deepen my expertise in organizational change methodologies to create sustainable value for businesses.

What can you advise for women just entering the tech?

Don’t be afraid to enter the tech world- it’s a space where diverse perspectives are essential. Explore and find your passion, whether it’s coding, change management, or design. Build a solid foundation through both formal education and practical, hands-on experience. Networking and seeking mentors can provide support to help you overcome challenges. Most importantly, trust your abilities and don’t let stereotypes limit your ambitions.

Do you think societal norms (such as only boys like computers and programming) influence a girl’s decision to join tech?

Unfortunately, yes. Stereotypes can deter girls from pursuing careers in tech or even from exploring their interests in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). This highlights the importance of challenging these norms by promoting diverse role models, inclusive education, and creating environments where all individuals feel empowered to succeed, regardless of gender.
