Why did you decide to work in the tech industry?

I was tired of always being disappointed with computer systems that no one understood how to use. So, I decided I wanted to do something about it, and I am still doing it.

How can you describe your current role? What’s your responsibility area?

I’m currently working as a Business Analyst (BA) in a large global pharmaceutical company where we, in the initiative, develop a transformative digital solution for clinical trials.

Every company has its own idea of what a BA should do. At my current company, I am working with everything from requirements, elaborations, structure, processes, discovery, priority, and, well, everything. I like to do, so at the moment, I’m thriving.

What career plans do you have for the future, and how do you see your further professional development?

Since my passion and one of my most significant personal interests is learning, I plan to continue doing that. I’m a consultant, so I have the opportunity to try many different roles, domains, and companies which suit me perfectly. I’m alternating between working as a BA and PO/PM/PL (editor: Product Owner / Project Manager / Project Lead), and I always want to learn, improve and bring the most value to my co-workers and customer(s). As long as I don’t feel like I’m standing still or unable to contribute, and as long as I continue to grow, then I’m happy!

What can you advise for women just entering the tech?

Don’t be afraid, be yourself, good enough is enough (there is no such thing as perfect) and do what you like!
