Can you tell us about your background and how you ended up in the tech industry?
My journey into tech started in high school, where I was introduced to low-level programming languages like C++. That early exposure sparked a deep interest in understanding how systems work and solving problems through code.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, which gave me a strong foundation in software development and system design. Since then, I’ve gained over four years of professional experience in the tech industry, working across both frontend and backend technologies.
Currently, I work as a Software Developer, primarily using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Node.js, along with various tools and platforms to build scalable web applications. I really enjoy working across the full stack — it allows for both flexibility and creativity — and I’m always exploring new ways to improve performance and user experience.
In parallel, I’m pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, which is helping me gain a broader perspective on how intelligent systems can be designed, built, and applied to real-world challenges — from automation to decision-making and beyond.
Which project or product that you have worked on are you most proud of, and why?
One project I’m particularly proud of is a retail marketing platform I’ve been deeply involved with. It’s designed to help brands manage and execute in-store marketing campaigns across multiple locations with consistency and efficiency. Being part of the team behind such an impactful and scalable product has been incredibly rewarding, especially knowing that it helps bridge the gap between digital strategies and real-world implementation at the store level.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
I draw inspiration from many strong and visionary women in tech, but one standout is Mira Murati, CTO at OpenAI. Her work and leadership in the field of AI is incredibly inspiring, especially how she balances innovation with ethical responsibility. On a personal level, I’m also inspired by the women in my own community who persist in tech despite challenges — they remind me of the strength and resilience we all carry.
What advice can you give to women/girls who are just starting out in tech?
Don’t be afraid to start small and be curious. Tech is a vast field — there’s space for everyone, and you don’t have to know everything to belong. Try things out, break things, build again, and don’t hesitate to ask questions. Also, surround yourself with people who support and encourage you — community is everything!
Which trends or technologies do you think will have the biggest impact on the industry in the coming years?
AI and machine learning will definitely continue to play a huge role, especially as they become more integrated into our daily tools. I’m also keeping a close eye on low-code/no-code platforms, which are empowering more people (even those without a traditional coding background) to build and innovate. It’s an exciting time!
If you could have a tech-related superpower, what would it be?
I believe AI will continue to have the biggest impact on the tech industry in the coming years. From generative AI and large language models to AI-driven automation and decision-making, we’re just beginning to see its full potential. It’s reshaping how we work, communicate, and build products. I’m especially excited about how AI can be used to solve real-world problems, enhance productivity, and create more personalized user experiences across industries.
