Sigma Technology Expands in Blekinge Welcoming Simon Andersson

As Blekinge’s manufacturing and defense sectors scale, demand for accurate product information and Digital Product Passports (DPP) solutions grows rapidly. Sigma Technology Information responds by appointing Simon Andersson to lead its further expansion in Karlskrona and Karlshamn.
Blekinge continues to evolve as one of Sweden’s most dynamic industrial and innovation regions. Strong clusters in manufacturing, defense, IT & telecom, marine technology, and green industry are supported by Region Blekinge’s ongoing Kickstart 2 initiative (2023–2026), which positions the county as a demo region and testbed for mission-oriented innovation and the green transition.
For Sigma Technology Information, this means a unique opportunity to strengthen its position as a partner in product information and Digital Product Passports solutions at a time when companies across these sectors face increasing demands for complex documentation, compliance, and digital product data management.
“Product information expertise is needed more than ever. Clients face rising demands for seamless data integration, localization, and compliance as supply chains grow increasingly complex. With the upcoming EU Digital Product Passports, the role of structured and reliable product information will be absolutely critical. Strengthening our presence in Blekinge ensures we can support both regional and global companies,” says Johan Thornadtsson, President of Sigma Technology Information. “Establishing Simon in Blekinge brings both proven leadership and local insight to meet that demand and deliver exceptional client value.”
Simon Andersson, a Karlskrona-based leader with long experience in the region’s manufacturing sector and a proven track record. He steps into his new role with a clear focus: to strengthen Sigma Technology Information’s presence and support local industries with product information services.
His appointment reinforces Sigma Technology Information’s ambition to make Blekinge a strong hub for product information in southern Sweden. The company operates in 11 cities across Sweden and has nearly 30 years of experience in product information and technical communication, supporting clients with services that span complex documentation, compliance, and digital product data management.
“Over the first 90 days in Karlskrona and Karlshamn, my priority is to deepen and reestablish strong customer relationships. We need to show our clients we’re a stable, reliable partner by offering top-tier expertise in exactly the areas they need and, equally important, maintaining our values and culture in how we deliver,” Simon explains.
Together with Patrik Stjerna, recently appointed Unit Manager at Sigma Technology Software Solutions, Simon will drive Sigma’s further expansion in Blekinge.
