Sigma Technology wins Sweden Transport Agency Agreement

Sigma Technology Information, part of Sigma Technology IT Group, has won the Swedish Transport Agency’s procurement of consultancy services for the development and maintenance of systems within the Shipping and Aviation Departments in Norrköping. The framework agreement runs for four years with a ceiling value of SEK 90 million, and Sigma Technology is the sole supplier. The agreement means the company will provide specialist expertise to ensure stable and efficient system development within societal functions and critical infrastructure.

The Swedish Transport Agency’s IT department in Norrköping is responsible for systems central to Sweden’s shipping and aviation sectors. The operations are currently carried out in agile teams, consisting of both employees and consultants. To meet long-term needs in development and maintenance, the right competence, flexibility, and the ability to quickly scale delivery are required.

Under the agreement, Sigma Technology will initially provide approximately 5–10 consultants, with the possibility to scale up to 15 experts and, when needed, up to 25 consultants during periods of high workload. The assignment includes requirements management, UX, programming, testing, and project management.

For Sigma Technology IT Group, the agreement strengthens the company’s presence in the region and allows for building a long-term partnership with the Swedish Transport Agency, contributing to stability, quality, and continuity in development activities.

Johan Edlund, President at Sigma Technology IT Group, says:
