Sigma Technology has launched internal Swedish Club meetings, where colleagues can write, talk, and practice listening comprehension.
Sigma Technology’s team is diverse and truly international. Though English is the official language for business communications, being able to speak Swedish helps navigate through Swedish traditions & mindset. Our team launched internal Swedish Club meetings, where Sigma Technology colleagues could write, talk, and practice listening comprehension.
Swedish Club is not a regular Swedish course with a teacher and a textbook. Instead, it offers a group of mentors, who help people at whatever level they happen to be, giving feedback on what they say and write, challenging the participants to speak in front of a group and ask questions.
The Swedish language learning session gathers engineers and students from China, Great Britain, Peru, Ukraine, Romania, Spain, India, Thailand, and Greece. All of them are talented and united by a common goal: to improve their Swedish to understand what their colleagues talk about at the workplace and feel more comfortable in Swedish society.

Mentor
Sigma Technology partners with Mentor Sweden, a non-profit organization working with youth empowerment through mentoring. We started a mentorship program connecting our people with youth in socioeconomically challenged areas in Sweden.
