Why did you decide to work in the tech industry?
I have always been interested in how things can evolve and change. Tech is an area where there are always some new changes or new trends to understand. I once had the opportunity to work with the integration of tech into the business early in my career, and I understood that tech was something I wanted to work with.
How can you describe your current role? What’s your responsibility area?
Currently, I work as a technical writer for a manufacturing and retail trade group. The work is done with the requirement framework team. My day consists of formulating requirements with different specialists and importing them to the new system the client has recently implemented. My main responsibility is to support the different specialists with their specifications and with this new system.
What career plans do you have for the future, and how do you see your further professional development?
The plan is to always work with some kind of tech, which is the main plan for the future. The positive thing about working in the tech industry is that it’s versatile with what you are working with. There is always something new to learn or a new way of making the business optimized with the help of tech. And that’s where I see my further professional development, to understand better how tech can benefit from different businesses and the impact it may have.
What can you advise for women just entering the tech?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions or feel that the input you have might not be of value. In tech, it’s important to have different views to understand the whole picture. Even if it might be a small input, it can change a lot.
