Hardware development is evolving rapidly, and embedded systems now account for over 90% of the electronics market—a clear sign of the demand for more intelligent, more connected devices. Whether you’re a global industrial leader driving automation and electrification or a nimble startup pushing boundaries with a breakthrough product, the need for flexible, fast, and high-quality hardware development is stronger than ever.

At Sigma Technology Embedded Solutions, we offer a scalable and agile setup, supporting your team with dedicated hardware engineers and testing labs across Sweden.

Andreas Sjögren, Hardware Team Lead at Sigma Technology Embedded Solutions, explains, “Our in-house hardware team is a tight-knit group of specialists with deep experience across industries—automotive, medtech, defense, aviation, industrial machines, and consumer electronics. They’ve designed everything from IoT sensors to mission-critical embedded systems.”

By adopting scalable and agile methodologies tailored for hardware, Sigma Inhouse Team can deliver faster results and quickly adapt to evolving customer needs. Our in-house structure is key—unlike setups relying on external consultants, our dedicated team offers deep collaboration and smooth knowledge transfer. It’s a one-roof approach that accelerates the entire development process.

“What makes our lab and HW-Team unique is the combination of cutting-edge equipment, local presence, and broad technical expertise,” says Mattias Gudasic, CTO at Sigma Technology Embedded Solutions. “With labs in Jönköping, Linköping, Skövde, and Västerås, we ensure hands-on collaboration and fast iteration. Our holistic approach, from hardware CAD and prototyping to system engineering and lifecycle management, gives clients a true one-stop shop for embedded development.”

Our Capabilities

Our in-house team offers a complete suite of services under one roof:

  • Hardware CAD & Design
  • Prototyping & Assembly
  • Testing & Validation
  • System Integration
  • Lifecycle & End-of-Life Management

What do these capabilities mean in practice? It means our team can step in at any stage of your project.

Tailored for Startups

Don’t have a lab or hardware staff? We act as your turnkey development team—taking you from napkin sketch to production-ready prototype.

Scalable for Enterprise R&D

For large organizations, we become an extension of your internal team, offering lab access, extra engineering capacity, or parallel testing to speed up development cycles.

Open to Research

We bridge the gap between academia and industry by participating in joint applications and innovation projects.

This flexibility is by design. We adapt to your needs, so you get exactly the support you require, when you need it.

Inside Our Labs: Built for Real-World Testing

Our fully equipped labs are designed to support every phase of hardware development and validation. We handle everything from design verification, fault and signal analysis, to prototype builds, soldering and repairs, ESD testing, and power electronics evaluations, all in-house.

Through our extensive partner network, we also give clients access to advanced testing for:

  • Mechanical environments
  • EMC, ESD, and pulse testing
  • Wireless communication (i.e BLE, RF, DSRC)
  • 5S and other quality assurance systems

To further strengthen our innovation ecosystem, Sigma Technology has recently signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Prishtina in Kosovo. This partnership opens the door to internship opportunities, knowledge exchange, and access to the university’s automotive, robotics, and electronics labs—creating exciting possibilities for both research and product development.

We offer a compelling value proposition for both businesses and potential employees,” explains Mattias. “Companies seeking a reliable and flexible hardware development partner can streamline their operations and accelerate time-to-market. For talented individuals seeking a dynamic work environment and continuous learning opportunities, our Agile Hardware Team presents an exciting career path.”
