Can you tell us about your background and how you ended up in the tech industry?
I’m a software engineer at Appbites, part of the Sigma Group, with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in AI and Data Science. My passion for tech started early, fueled by a love for math and problem-solving. That curiosity led me to computer science, a field where logic, creativity, and real-world impact come together, and I’ve been passionate about it ever since.
Which project or product that you have worked on are you most proud of, and why?
I’ve worked on several meaningful projects, but the one I’m most proud of is the one I’m currently developing, a platform called Taskwish. This project represents my growth as a developer. After years of hands-on experience, I now feel confident tackling more complex challenges, and Taskwish has allowed me to apply advanced programming skills in a practical and impactful way. It integrates AI and includes several advanced features, which make it both technically demanding and creatively fulfilling. It’s exciting to build something that not only challenges me but also has the potential to bring real value to users.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
What inspires me most is the idea of lifelong learning. The tech world is always evolving, there’s always something new to explore, understand, and build. That constant change keeps me curious and motivated to grow, both as a developer and as a person. It’s this journey of continuous improvement that truly excites me.
What is the biggest technical challenge you have encountered, and how did you solve it?
In tech, challenges are part of the everyday experience, and that’s actually one of the things I enjoy most about this field. Whether it’s debugging complex issues, learning new technologies, or optimizing performance, each day brings something new to solve. These constant challenges push me to keep learning, stay curious, and grow as both a developer and a problem-solver. It’s not just about finding quick fixes, but about improving with each experience and staying adaptable in a fast-changing industry.
What advice can you give to women/girls who are just starting out in tech?
I know that starting out in tech today can be challenging, especially for women and girls, but my biggest advice is to stay focused on your goals and never stop learning. Be confident in your abilities, even when things feel tough. The key is to stay curious, keep improving, and not be afraid to take up space in this field. With determination and continuous learning, everything is possible.
Which trends or technologies do you think will have the biggest impact on the industry in the coming years?
I believe AI will continue to have the biggest impact on the tech industry in the coming years. From generative AI and large language models to AI-driven automation and decision-making, we’re just beginning to see its full potential. It’s reshaping how we work, communicate, and build products. I’m especially excited about how AI can be used to solve real-world problems, enhance productivity, and create more personalized user experiences across industries.
If you could have a tech-related superpower, what would it be? (Example: Writing bug-free code on the first try!)
If I could have a tech-related superpower, it would be to instantly know every new and emerging technology as soon as it’s released, like a built-in tech radar! Staying ahead of the curve is so important in this industry, and having that kind of superpower would make it so much easier to adapt, innovate, and keep building with the latest tools.
