Every year, International Mentoring Day is recognized on January 17th. Sigma’s involvement with Star For Life extends beyond financial support, as its employees actively participate as ambassadors, visiting schools and mentoring young individuals. Through these interactions, Sigma Technology empowers youth to pursue their dreams, seek further education, and combat the spread of HIV and AIDS.

For example, At Nompondo Primary School, our ambassadors from Sigma Technology and ETECTURE support the school’s educational endeavors. Volunteers from the Sigma community developed a comprehensive computer curriculum, preparing Heroes of Tomorrow members to become local ambassadors and lecturers for the program. By involving local teachers in running the computer classes, Sigma Technology ensured the sustainability of the initiative.

The pen pal program for students from Nompondo Primary School and peers from Sweden exemplifies the transformative power of mentorship. By connecting students from diverse backgrounds, this initiative fosters a valuable exchange of perspectives, experiences, and cultural insights.

Sigma Technology also supports Heroes of Tomorrow, a group of active university students who visit various high schools to assist learners in university applications and serve as role models for youngsters. Through this program, Sigma Technology is able to provide assistance to students who are interested in pursuing higher education, and it also helps to create a sense of community and belonging among the students.



Sigma Technology Hungary’s partnership with SKOOL is a stellar example of how mentorship can play a pivotal role in shaping young women’s future in the tech industry. Skool’s workshops and events provide an invaluable platform for young girls to connect with experienced mentors who can share their knowledge, insights, and encouragement.

One of the key aspects of SKOOL’mentorship program is the emphasis on providing young girls with role models from different backgrounds and experiences. This exposure to diverse perspectives helps girls broaden their horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the possibilities that lie ahead for them in the tech field. By connecting with mentors who have successfully navigated their careers in technology, young girls can visualize their own potential and develop a stronger belief in their ability to achieve their goals.

As a long-term partner of the organization, Sigma Technology Hungary has actively contributed to Edisonplatform’s efforts to connect NGOs, for-profit entities, scientists, and educators working to improve the future of children.


Sigma Technology Cloud – YOUNG TALENT 

A new updated Young Talent program was established by Sigma Technology Cloud in 2022, which offered an exclusive in-house internship opportunity for students, allowing them to do their thesis work within IT and prepare themselves for their future careers. This initiative had its focus on educating and instilling a sustainability-oriented mindset for future co-workers.

By collaborating with various companies in Norrland, the program provides young talents with a comprehensive opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience, access further education, and cultivate mentorship relationships with experienced professionals.
