Sigma Technology India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu, marking another step in the company’s long-term commitment to India. The agreement supports Sigma Technology’s plans to expand its R&D presence in the region and establish a global capability center that strengthens its ability to deliver scalable engineering services to customers worldwide.
Sigma Technology India currently operates in Chennai and Trichy, serving customers within embedded software development, electronics engineering, FPGA/ASIC development, industrial automation, technical documentation, and product lifecycle support.
As part of its growth plans, the company aims to expand into additional Tier-2 technology hubs in India. This will further strengthen Sigma Technology’s global delivery model and enable customers to scale product development teams faster, while maintaining the engineering quality and governance required in complex development environments.
Tamil Nadu is one of India’s leading technology and engineering regions, with a large technology talent pool and annual IT and software services exports exceeding USD 25 billion. The state has strong industry ecosystems across AI and digital technologies, advanced manufacturing, electric vehicles, life sciences, and aerospace. The memorandum was signed in the presence of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu C. Joseph Vijay. The agreement reflects Tamil Nadu’s commitment to attracting technology investments and creating opportunities for closer collaboration between industry, academia, and public institutions.
