Sigma Technology strengthens its position in critical digital infrastructure through new framework agreement with Tekniska verken
After strong competition with some of Sweden’s leading IT consulting firms, Sigma Technology IT Group has been awarded Tekniska verken’s new framework agreement for IT consulting services across all four contract areas in which it submitted bids. The four areas have a combined contract ceiling value of SEK 690 million. Under the new agreement, Sigma Technology will contribute expertise in developing, operating, supporting, and governing business-critical IT environments that support the energy and societal infrastructure of the future.
Tekniska verken is a municipally owned energy company and a key contributor to the green transition, operating within energy, water, waste management, broadband, and critical societal infrastructure. To meet future energy demands, the organization is investing in modernized infrastructure, automation, and intelligent solutions.
As part of this development, Tekniska verken has procured IT consulting services across several specialist areas. The new framework agreement takes effect on October 1 and, including extension options, runs for up to eight years. Sigma Technology was awarded contracts in systems and software development, infrastructure, IT support, and IT governance and management. The company is one of five selected suppliers in each area following an evaluation based on both quality and price.
