2024 was a challenging year with a hesitant market. We focused on streamlining the organization, strengthening our range of services, and expanding our reach. When we look back at the past year’s highlights, a few areas come up extra prominently. This summary will spotlight new markets, sustainable technology, empowering future generations, driving innovation, and gaining momentum.
NEW MARKETS
Establishing a position in the Public Sector
Digitalizing public services and building GovTech solutions is the path toward a stronger economy and a more open and effective government, which will ultimately result in more resilient and inclusive societies.
In 2024, Sigma Technology took a strategic course in building our offering for the public sector, starting with the recruitment of Bid Manager Anna Nyblin. As we summarize the year-end, we have won several major framework agreements with CSN, the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, Region Jönköping, Norwegian Veterinary Institute, and DIS with Luleå municipality, and more agreements are underway. New services
Sigma Technology has also established new business areas, including ERP services and license management, in addition to new markets.
The expansion into SAP consulting aligns with Sigma’s broader strategy of embracing digitalization and constantly expanding its portfolio or professional services. Newly established Sigma Technology ERP Advisory has started a partnership with Pagero.
License management helps clients optimize costs and get a better overview of current licenses, something that Computer World Norway featured.
Expanding to Kosovo
Continuing the expansion theme, Sigma Technology opened its presence in one more country—Kosovo—by acquiring Appbites, a Kosovo software development company offering complete solutions and expertise in software development and design.
Niklas Malmros, CEO of Sigma Technology Solutions Group Business Area, says: “Kosovo has one of the youngest populations in Europe with advanced know-how in ICT. We were impressed by how connected and developed the IT community in Kosovo is. We believe it will be a great match and addition to our flexible delivery model, where we can now offer our customers dedicated teams from Kosovo together with our previous delivery model from Scandinavia, Germany, Ukraine, and Hungary.”
By the end of 2024, we have established business ties and academic exchange and are planning for exchange programs between tech universities in Sweden and Kosovo in early 2025.
In addition to growing internationally, we have also moved to new venues in some of our Swedish locations, including Umeå, Lund, and Linköping.
