Sigma Technology expands in Malmö and features Jimmy Dahlqvist as the new Head of AWS Technologies
In January 2021, Sigma Technology launched new companies in Stockholm, aiming to support customers within the cloud, automation, and digitalization areas. Already in half of a year, Sigma Technology Digital & Cloud Solutions announced the launch of a new office in Malmö, a city with the “Innovations – Education – Technologies” mantra.
For Sigma Technology Group, the South of Sweden has always been a strategic region due to its developing entrepreneurial culture supported by a variety of initiatives that facilitate the creation and development of innovative business models. Sigma Technology has considerably invested in this region and today about 100 employees are working there with software development, QA & verification, product information, digital transformation, and other directions. Sigma Technology Digital & Cloud Solutions will complement the pool of offerings and will support customers with comprehensive cloud services.

Rashin has also presented a new Head of AWS Technologies, Jimmy Dahlqvist, who will lead the domain of AWS cloud solutions and be responsible for delivering well-architected IT systems and cloud transformations. Jimmy has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, where he started as a Java developer in the pharmaceutical industry. During his career, he has been working in several different industries and roles at leading companies, such as AstraZeneca, Sony, Infor, and AssaAbloy. For the past 5 years, Jimmy has specialized in cloud system development with Amazon Web Services as his main area of expertise and holds several AWS certifications.
As one of the few members of the AWS Certification, Subject Matter Expert (SME) program, he regularly participates in the development of AWS certifications. Besides, Jimmy is a strong voice in the AWS Cloud Community in Sweden and has been named Next Generation Leader in Cloud by Whizlabs and received an award as AWS Community Builder by AWS.
