Sigma Technology Hungary Celebrates 25 Years of Innovation and Growth
Sigma Technology Hungary is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Since its founding as Kudos Hungary in 2001, the company has grown from a small local operation into a well-established part of Sigma Technology Group, serving customers across multiple countries and industries.
The anniversary was celebrated on earlier this summer in Budapest, bringing together colleagues, customers, partners, and friends from Hungary and Sweden. The evening was attended by Diana Madunic, Ambassador of Sweden to Hungary, Dan Olofsson, Founder and Owner of Sigma Group, and Carl Vikingsson, CEO of Sigma Technology Group.
Founded in 2001 and part of Sigma Group since 2007, Sigma Technology Hungary has grown into a Budapest-based organization of more than 200 professionals, with expertise across software development, testing, product information, technical writing, graphic design, and usability.
During these 25 years, the company has expanded well beyond its original role, today serving customers in Hungary, Sweden, and international markets. While Product Information and Software Solutions remain important parts of the business, Sigma Technology Hungary is increasingly building its organization around technologies and industries, with growing expertise in areas ranging from artificial intelligence and cloud technologies to space-related solutions.
The event was also an opportunity to reflect on the Swedish roots and company culture that have shaped Sigma Technology Hungary over the past 25 years. Beyond its commercial activities, Sigma Technology Hungary works closely with organizations such as the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hungary (SCCH), SKOOL, WeAreOpen, and Bridge Budapest, and maintains strong ties with leading Hungarian universities. Earlier this year, György Nagy was elected President of SCCH, further strengthening the company’s connection to the Swedish-Hungarian business community.

Over the past 25 years, Sigma Technology Hungary has grown together with many of its customers, building long-term partnerships with organizations such as Ericsson, Knorr-Bremse, and Grundfos. Together with close cooperation across Sigma Technology Group, these relationships have helped the company broaden its expertise and enter new areas of business over time.
