Sigma Technology IT Group has been selected as one of the consulting firms to enter into a new framework agreement with Sida, Sweden’s development aid agency, for IT infrastructure and cloud services. The agreement takes effect in January 2025 and will run for two years, with the option to extend for up to a total of four years.

Sida is Sweden’s government agency for development cooperation, working to reduce poverty and oppression worldwide. Sida’s IT department is responsible for ensuring and delivering secure, cost-effective, and purpose-driven system support that helps the organization achieve its operational goals.

The procurement of IT consulting services covers various needs in the IT domain, including resource and project/assignment consultants. Following a rigorous bidding process, Sigma Technology IT Group was selected as one of three suppliers within the subcategory of IT infrastructure and cloud services.

We are incredibly proud to be one of Sida’s selected providers and to support their digitalization ambitions, helping them achieve their operational goals. We are ready to assist Sida with our extensive experience in managing diverse IT and cloud environments and platforms, our delivery flexibility, and our strong focus on security,” said Anna Nyblin, Bid Manager at Sigma Technology IT Group.

Sigma Technology boasts a dedicated team of cloud technology experts and ongoing partnerships with Microsoft and AWS. In December 2024, Sigma Technology received AWS’s Nordic “Rising Star Consulting Partner of the Year 2024” award, recognizing partners driving innovation and building solutions on AWS.

With this framework agreement, Sigma Technology continues to strengthen its presence in Sweden’s public sector. The company has previously secured agreements with Region Jönköpings Län, CSN, Statens institutionsstyrelse, and the Veterinary Institute in Norway.

Being selected as one of Sida’s trusted providers is a significant milestone for us and aligns with our strategy to become a reliable IT advisor for the public sector. We are committed to helping government organizations execute digital and sustainable initiatives with our expertise, delivery capacity, and execution capabilities,” said Johan Edlund, CEO of Sigma Technology IT Group.
