Structured and custom workplace 

The BMW Group Sales & Marketing Workplace bundles information from sales and marketing and ensures smooth control of processes and workflows in everyday work across the globe. Employees and dealers can find sales and marketing-relevant product and sales information and PR & marketing activities on the portal.

The Etecture team (part of Sigma Technology Group) has developed the portal based on the Liferay with a modern and responsive front end. The user can access and manage all kinds of sales and marketing files and templates, e.g., PDF documents, videos, images, and presentations. Besides, the main peculiarity of the solution is that the whole Content Management System is customizable, and each user has different personalized sections like topics, latest updates, recommendations, news, quick links, release and upload area, tasks, newsletter, and event planning.

Agile implementation

The project was implemented by our digital architects from ETECTURE using an agile approach and direct support from the customer. This enables us to react quickly if any problem occurs and adapt flexibly to changes in the requirements. After the envisioning phase, where we performed the functional and technical analysis and created the rough concept, we got a minimum viable product (MVP) ready.

An MVP is a variant of the end product with reduced functionality, which already fulfills the product’s basic requirements. In this case, we presented the first MVP within six months.
